Admissions Guidelines and Overview

At the British Curriculum International School in Dubai, we welcome students from diverse backgrounds, providing them with a world-class education in a nurturing, inclusive environment. Our admissions process is designed to be clear, transparent, and accessible, ensuring that prospective families have a complete understanding of the requirements and procedures.

Admission Requirements

We accept applications for students aged 2 to 18 years, offering a comprehensive curriculum that fosters academic excellence, personal growth, and global citizenship. Our admissions guidelines are designed to help families navigate the process with ease.

Arabic Language Requirements

In compliance with the UAE Ministry of Education regulations, Arabic language instruction is mandatory for students from Grade 1 to Grade 9. Our program is carefully structured to support both native and non-native Arabic speakers:

Native Arabic Speakers: Students from countries recognized as Arabic-speaking must enroll in the Arabic A program, which is tailored to enhance their proficiency in the language until the end of Grade 12.
Non-Native Arabic Speakers: Students who are not from Arabic-speaking countries can enroll in the Arabic B program, designed to introduce and develop their understanding of the language.
Early Start in Arabic: We prioritize early language acquisition by beginning Arabic instruction in KG2, ensuring a strong language foundation for young learners.

Countries Recognized as Arabic-Speaking:
UAE, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Syria, Bahrain, Iran, Iraq, Yemen, Oman, Mauritania, Libya, Lebanon, Palestine, Jordan, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Sudan, Somalia, Djibouti, and the Union of the Comoros.

Islamic Education Requirements

In alignment with UAE Ministry of Education guidelines, all Muslim students are required to take Islamic Education from Grade 1 to Grade 12. The program is differentiated based on language proficiency:

Islamic A (Arabic Language): For students proficient in Arabic, this course is delivered in Arabic.
Islamic B (English Language): For students who are more comfortable with English, this course is delivered in English.

Both Islamic A and Islamic B courses follow the Ministry of Education syllabus, ensuring that students receive a comprehensive understanding of Islamic studies.
